A childs early stage is the best time to build life-long concepts he/she will forever be grateful of. As parents, guidance or well wishers, we need to induce the Self Esteem of our children, instill to them a sense of love and acceptance at a young age , for only then can we truly say we are raising future generations, we are building Self Esteem.
The concept of Self Esteem is one of the most important in the line up of several enabling factors that guarantees successful achievement. As a child starts to develop, he starts to interact and to socialize with his peers, pressure sets in and of course peer group pressure is the most influencing of all. A child who has not been grounded on the believe that other peoples opinion of him does not have to become his reality will fall and give in to any pressure whether subtle or direct.
Self Esteem is the feeling of being happy with your character and abilities regardless of other peoples opinion. It is knowing who we are and living in harmony with ourselves without needing to have the approval of others discover your childs unique abilities, encourage him in it whatever the opinion of the media, his peer group or of circumstances around him. Make him believe in himself. Make him understand that if hes not for himself, who would be? Let these tips be your guide;
Be kind to yourself. If something goes well, reward yourself. If it goes badly. Learn from your mistakes.
Write a list on things you are good at and read it many times over and over again. Autosuggestion is self suggestion, it is the only known way we can induce our subconscious. Your attitude comes from the subconscious. So if you can control it by making repeated positive words into them, then youve got a winner.
Train yourself to give compliments to others and when you receive one, say thank you
